We met at UGA. We had a blind date to a football game.

I practiced speech pathology first in private practice then at a hospital to develop the speech path departmen. My husband and I had the good fortune of traveling a lot, personal and business. He now has ALS so our lives have drastically changed.

I just remember the pranks we all pulled on the teachers and people throwing marbles in study hall in the auditorium and listening to them roll down the floor.

UGA- Masters in Speech Pathology

We met and lived in Athens Georgia for 14 years with a three year stint in the Navy (tommy). We traveled and lived in Newport RI, Washington DC and Jacksonville FL before returning to Athens to finish our degrees. Both our children were born there. We then moved to Clemson SC in 1984 and have been here since. We remain Dawg fans.

I had my pilot’s license, then I stopped flying when I got Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever. I am totally into genealogy and can spend hours at the computer. My best friend in high school is still my best friend.

I feel like I got an excellent high school education which prepared me for college.

Joanne Burns was a big influence on me because I was a shy person and she helped me overcome shyness. She was the speech/drama/debate teacher.

I don’t remember much about the lunches but I do remember students running to the cafeteria on cinnamon roll day. Loved them.
