Jane Araguel Obituary (1951 - 2020) - Northwest Florida Daily News
Jane K. Araguel, 69, Resident of Destin, FL and formerly of Columbus, GA died on Monday 20 July due to complications arising from COVID-19 while residing in a Long-Term Care facility. Jane was born on 30 June 1951 in Columbus, GA to the late Jeff Perkins Kaigler and the late Martha Blanton Kaigler. In Columbus, Jane was a law office manager for many years, former president of the Better Business Bureau of Columbus, former officer of Soroptimist International, involved in numerous political campaigns and appointed to several Georgia State Wide Commissions. Jane was a dedicated, award winning, and renowned realtor in the Destin Area for over 30 years. An avid deep-sea fisher, snow skier and certified SCUBA diver, Jane enjoyed numerous activities with her family and close family friends. As a licensed pilot with a IFR rating, she radiated a passion for exploration and discovery of new adventures.
Jane is survived by her two sons (Patrick and Leslie), a granddaughter (Elizabeth), two sisters (Susan and Barbara), two nephews (Bill and Jonathan), a former daughter-in-law (Carly) and a former husband (LaDon). Over the course of Jane's life, she developed lifelong friendships with numerous associates, clients, and close personal friends who are too numerous to list here. The family wishes to thank the many special friends who have helped and comforted Jane and the family since her stroke.
Due to COVID-19, a celebration of life will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to one of the following charities: National Kidney Foundation, National Association to Stop Guardian Abuse (NASGA) or Americans Against Abusive Probate Guardianships (AAAPG)
