Below is a Facebook post from Jonnie's daughter:
This is Lara Bagdes Kimber, Jonnie's Daughter, posting on her behalf. I have to share the hardest news I have ever had to share, that sadly my mom passed away this past Tuesday, October 27th, at 7:01am. I have been waiting to post until we were able to contact as many family members as possible. Jonnie was loved by so many, that there is no way possible we could individually reach all of her many friends.
She passed quickly from a heart attack and did not suffer. She had turned 69 last month, and throughout her life, her main goal and wish was for Peace and Love throughout the world. She never stopped fighting for those goals and had many great adventures in her life. She loved her family and friends deeply and helped so many. Her wonderful deeds and memory will live on in those of us who knew her.
Jonnie always wanted us to throw a "celebration of life" party in her honor after she passed. When travel and large groups are safer, this is something I will be sure to do for her. She would have turned 70 in September of 2021, so that may be a perfect time to celebrate and honor her life. I will share the details for that when the time is closer.
There will be an official obituary posted next week, where I will make sure to include links to charities Jonnie would support. In lieu of flowers, it would be wonderful if you wanted to donate to one of those charities in her honor. I will share the link to the obituary as soon as it is available.
Thank you to everyone who loved my mom, and for being a part of her life. Jonnie would wish you Peace and Love for all your days
